exican poet. He carried out an intense activity as diplomat, while he also devoted himself to literature, either in prose or in verse, which made him renowned in Latin America.

He deserves to be included in this work because the first ten-line stanza of the Francisco Martino’s estilo “El sueño” belongs to him. It was made popular and recorded by Carlos Gardel with some changes.

Peza was born in Mexico (capital) on June 29, 1852 and there he died on March 16, 1910 when he was congressman in the Congreso Nacional.
