In Buenos Aires he became secretary in theater companies. Rey-Lozada was one of them and, taking advantage of this position, he wrote tangos that were sung onstage: Abandonada [b]” with music by Juan Carlos Durán; “Mujer” with Juan Carlos Cobián; “¿Por qué?” with Manuel Jovés; “Tengo celos” with Augusto Berto and, among others, “Aquella noche” with Julio De Caro which was recorded by Carlos Gardel.

He might have written something for the theater.

He was member of S.A.C.E.M. (Societé des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique), the society of authors and composers of France.

Gonzáles Illescas was born in Valparaíso (Chile) on May 14, 1880.
