he author Gerardo Alcázar encouraged him to write music for the lyrics he wrote so that they would be sung and then they achieved important hits. His first successful number was “Fatal Shimmy” around 1924 or 1925.

He met Carlos Gardel in Barcelona when he introduced his song “Por un cariño” to the singer which the latter recorded there.

Demón was born in Menorca (Baleares) on July 15, 1890 and passed away in Barcelona on December 22, 1964.
