e started in popular song in 1926 with the zamba “Rosa y jazmín” (its lyrics and music belong to him) which was recorded in Victor records by the Magaldi-Noda duo. His second number, the beautiful waltz “Súplicas”, also bears his words and music.

Carlos Gardel recorded his tangos “El mal que me hiciste” and “Piedad”. The latter was awarded at a contest in 1927 and was very popular, so much so that its fame reached Europe through the voice of our top singer. Both pieces have music by maestro Carlos Percuoco.

He wrote Patio Criollo, a theatrical play which was not premiered, and he contributed with his writings in some magazines.

De Biase was born in Buenos Aires on January 1, 1894 and passed away in Avellaneda on April 29, 1953.
