rother of José María Aguilar, guitarist and Carlos Gardel’s partner on several occasions, he carried out almost all his show business career in his country. But he made sporadic tours of our country and of neighboring nations. He appeared at theaters and on radio stations playing guitar solos.

In Buenos Aires he accompanied the Quiroga-Del Carril duo (both named Rosita) in recording sessions and on radio, besides other singers of lower level.

Through his brother he acquainted Carlos Gardel who committed to record his “Caprichosa”, a fado, and “Murmuyos” the beautiful tango with lyrics by doctor Juan Carlos Patrón and which José María published as his own.

Other compositions of his are: “El perfume de tus besos”, fox-trot; “Visión gaucha”, ranchera; “Otra cosa es con guitarra”, milonga; “Jardín florido”, tango.

In Montevideo he was member of the Trío Oriental de Guitarras.

Froilán Aguilar was born in Montevideo on October 9, 1896 and there he passed away on January 26, 1974.
