e began to study bandoneon playing at age ten when, together with his father, he used to frequent the appearances of tango orchestras, especially the one led by Osvaldo Pugliese, at the cafes of Buenos Aires.

His teachers were Arturo Penón, Daniel Binelli, Rodolfo Mederos, Alejandro Prevignano, all members of the Osvaldo Pugliese orchestra. His studies as instrumentalist were made at the Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda. He attended the course of harmony and composition taught by Juan Carlos Cirigliano at the SADAIC premises. He studied privately with the bandoneonist Julio Pane and, in 2001, he delved into classical and contemporary music with maestro Alejandro Barletta.

While he was studying he joined several aggregations with which he developed an expressive, strong but sensitive style.

He has appeared in the city venues, in our country and abroad along with Tracción Tanguera, Raúl Parentella Tango, Los cosos de al lao, Subte A, Argentango (accompanying Ricardo Chiqui Pereyra, among others) and with Hora Cero he recorded the disc Libertango. Because of that the Escuela de Tango Salvador Sciana (El Negro Lavandina) awarded him a diploma «As recognition for his work spreading Tango».

In 1995 he was summoned by the saxophonist Jorge Retamoza to join his quintet Tango XXX with which he plays until now. He appeared in two discs: Violentango and Policial Argentino; they also recorded for the TV Channel Solo Tango.

As teacher of the instrument, an activity he carries out privately until the present, he taught at the Taller de Música Buenos Aires and at the Conservatorio Beethoven in Buenos Aires.

In 2002 he settled in Spain and had a busy schedule with tours along with Jorge Retamoza and Tango XXX (2002-2003) and with appearances in several Italian cities with the singer Carlos Ardhú. In France and Switzerland he played with the Orquesta Típica Puente Alsina.

He performed at several festivals and events, among them the following stand out: Cidade Vella en Concerto (La Coruña), Festival de Cosquín en Cádiz (Teatro Manuel de Falla), I Trobada Tango Jove Barcelona, V Season of Concerts at the Gothic Cloister of the Cathedral in Tui (Galicia); Didactic Concerts along with members of the Symphony Orchestra of Galicia (La Coruña) and appearances in television programs. As guest artist he recorded with groups like: La Minitípica, Phantom Club, Banda Potemkin.

In 2007 he received a special mention by the Argentine Consulate in Vigo for his artistic collaboration with this institution.

In 2008 he teamed up with the guitarist Gabriel Silvera and put together the aggregation Szabo-Silvera Tango. They made a large number of appearances to wide acclaim by public and the press. They are about to release their first CD in order to spread contemporary music and music written by new composers.
