tango duo that was born in the summer of 2001 in Madrid. Both artists were born in Buenos Aires and in their performances they are usually accompanied by Edgar Fernández (bass), Diego Fernández (bandoneon) and Santiago Pérez (flute).

Their repertory includes a careful selection of the best tango pieces of the past and the present, enriched by the arrangements and the type of interpretation usual in the group.

They made their debut at the "Cardamomo" hall in Madrid on October 22, 2001. They continued their appearances at the venues "El rincón del arte nuevo", "La taberna del tesoro", "Planet Hollywood" and "Café Molliere".

In the summer of 2002 they recorded their first disc: "Malena", and introduced it to the public on May 25, 2003 at the Sala Galileo of Madrid.

Nowadays they appear at the theater play "De locura, amor y tango" (tangata musical) written by Manuel Cruz and Néstor Sabatini.

Araceli Schalum studied with the prestigious operatic contralto of the Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, Lucía Boero, and delved into different beats: blues, jazz, rock and pop. In 1996 she began her work as lyricist for a musical project alongside Edgar Fernández, the "Buenos Aires" group.

Javier Oyhanarte studied guitar, harmony and arranging with maestro Pablo Zapata. At age 18 he started to accompany different singers, among them, Hugo Soler. He ventured into folk music and in the year 2000 he joined the outfit led by the bandoneonist Alberto Garralda.
