Carlos Gardel recorded it and it was, together with “Folie”, the ones the impresario Paul Santolini ordered Gardel to sing in French in his appearances in Paris. He later learnt others.

Delabonne was born in Loches (Indre et Loire-Francia) on April 28, 1870 and died in Paris on April 11, 1926.
