Quito, Ecuador. 1990 The contents of this work represent the work of a group of outstanding personalities of Ecuador´s literature, arts and public life, which was published by the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Quito, Ecuador in November 1990 for the centennial of Carlos Gardel´s birth.
The illustrations were made by Hermenegildo Sabat who was born in Montevideo, República Oriental del Uruguay, in 1933. He made numerous individual exhibitions of drawings and paintings. He is author of various graphic books where the influence of music and its interpreters on his creations is evidenced.
