Mr. Secretary:

I am very pleased to congratulate the Secretary of Coleccionistas Porteños de Tango for the inactive of widespreading our city music.

As you know there exists in France, and in many other countries, a renewed interest for tango, that in the particular case of this country, is backed by a long history that goes back to the origins of our tango. The maestros and artists that performed in Paris were many and in the latest years that presence has grown enormously.

It is very satisfactory to see the interest of French audiences for tango music and everything related to the aesthetic and literary universe that surrounds it. I think that you will undoubtedly find the support of the French enterprises working with or based in Argentina, which regularly cooperate with the activities and interchanges between the culture of our two countries.

I have visited the Todo Tango site and I think that the information offered is of high quality. If you agree, we could also, like the Chancery does, incorporate it to the site the Embassy has.
